Alas, time to say good-bye!

I've been procrastinating far too long and need to end this blog. I guess I put it off knowing it would be the finale of one of the best summers I have ever experienced. The Grand Canyon was a exhilarating experience both physically and mentally. I got this old body back in shape, my bum ankle finally healed to the point that I could walk comfortably again and I felt good about myself. The good-byes were very sad and hard to say. I will truly miss the friends I made and know that I probably won't see most of them again. They will be forever remember in my heart. Many people have asked if I would do it again and although I would love to go back I don't think it would be the same...that could be good and bad. There are things I would like to do and places I missed that are still on my list of To Dos. Working in the research library would be wonderful but I probably wouldn't have the opportunity to wear a park ranger uniform again. I have to say that was my favorite part of my canyon experience. Telling storiews to children from all over the world was agift I will always cherish. I will pursue volunteering in a national park again whether it be the Grand Canyon or a park that I haven't visited. I definitely have that on my must do list. So, thanks to all who followed me and enjoyed my summer in one of the most beautiful places in the world.
