The 29th has finally arrived and I'm finally going to get to see Dick after 7 long weeks!! He should still be in the air on the way to Phoenix as I write this. We're planning to drive down to Sedona after I meet him at the train station; its only about a half hour on the road until so get into the red rock country. Yesterday was my neighbor Brad's birthday. I baked him a key lime cheesecake in honor of the time they spent in the Florida Keys. Unbeknownst to me his favorite desserts are key lime pie and cheesecake so I really made a good choice. We cooked out at Jim and Sue's and then celebrated with cake and beverages. My neighbors are threatening to remove the tires from my Subaru so that I can't leave...I don't think I would mind too much. I haven't had the luxury of great neighbors and I sure am going to miss these crazy people. They are too much fun and the most honest and sincere group that I have met in recent years. I can't wait for Dick to meet them. Anyway, the time is passing slowly and I'm anxious to get on the road to Flagstaff. I found the perfect new hat to buy in memory of the west. They are called Sunbody Palm Leaf Hats. It still won't be as special as my Ranger Flat Hat but probably more practical.
