Kolb Studio: there is a wonderful art exhibit going on now with illustrations from children's books written about wildlife in the canyon. This studio was built in the early 1900s. Ellsworth and Emery Kolb took photos of tourists on mules riding down the canyon. You can view their cameras at the studio. I think I may get to see the entire studio including private rooms this summer...one of the perks of being a park employee. The picture of the condor is on display in the room with the book illustrations. It is truely amazing how large these birds are. I hope to get a little video of one flying over the canyon before I head home.
