It is amazing how quiet it is here. No road noise, airplanes or fire alarms. Just the wind through the pines and ravens cawing at each other. I know that there are children living here in the campground but I rarely see or hear them. I went to a picnic last evening sponsered by the local Rotary club. Good food and company. They had a cake walk that was very entertaining...like musical chairs but the prize was a donated cake and boy were there a lot of cakes. I came home with some good recipes and will try them out when I have an equipt kitchen. I took brownies because I only needed a spoon and bowl and the box mix!!!! I was having sports/TV withdrawl so today I decided to explore the bike trails and find my way to the Rec Center that they have for park residents. I got a little lost on the way over but managed to get there in time to watch the Open. Had the TV to myself. There were a lot of people using their computer lab and free wifi...something they have available for park residents. On the way home I followed the trail and surprisingly came out just where I wanted to...really wasn't sure until I came to the intersection. I'm looking forward to Karen coming on Thursday...the days are very busy but the evenings tend to be a little too quiet for me.
