I went to a stress seminar today that was offered to the NPS staff. I think this is the most stress- free I've been in ages but I could relate thinking back on school days and the state of Penn Hills. The park staff does have stressfuol jobs and I'm sure it was a good experience for them. Anyway, another adventure. My dear friend Susan gave me a basket with 60 gifts individually wrapped so I could open one every day that I am away. What wonderful little surprises...today I opened the coolest eye glass cleaner! Yesterday was a beautiful scarf....It's like Christmas every day!!! Thank you, Susan!!!! I went out to Hopi Point last evening to watch the sunset and decided to video tape the event. Took forever to download and then an error came up. After thinking about it I realized that no one would want to sit for 10 minutes watching a sunset on this blog so I guess it was good that it errored out. Nothing like seeing it in person. I'm making a meat loaf so I can have something for my lunch for the next few days although it is strange cooking for one person. Dick is home enjoying his rice cooker that Sara and Jess got him for Father's Day. It will be nice to cook for him again. Today was a perfect day --80 degrees, cloudless sky and a nice breeze. The ride up hill from park headquarters gets easier every day. Met my next door neighbors after work this evening. Tanya and Brad...both work for Xantera and are vagabonds at heart. They are both happy here and love the canyon.
